1961–1963, Paris

During these years, Suraj Ghai won a French Government Scholarship for Higher Education to study Fresco Painting (Mural) at Ecole des Beaux–Arts, Paris. Paintings of this period are mostly abstracts and some beautiful landscapes of Paris. Little Girl and the Black Moon, L’ Atelier, Musicians in Moonlight and other works of this period were left in Paris with Dr. and Mrs. Maurice Lamy at Paris, and are now considered lost. Fortunately, the works survived in form of slides, and were later digitally restored.
